Secondary Program

The secondary program offers an exciting, innovative, and dynamic learning environment with abundant opportunities. Recognizing that the most profound learning takes place within a healthy teacher-student relationship, we emphasise fostering strong connections among all members of the secondary school community. Valuing these relationships is paramount to achieving high-quality outcomes for our students.

The curriculum aims to engage students and foster their interest in key learning areas. Adopting the Cambridge IGCSE Program from Year 7 - 10 and transitioning to the Australian Matriculation Program in Year 11 - 12, we ensure our students possess a robust foundation, effectively preparing them for the challenges of the 21st century.

Lower Secondary (Year 7 - Year 10)

Lower secondary students benefit from a broad and balanced program delivered through the Cambridge IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) curriculum.  The Cambridge IGCSE is the world’s most popular international qualification for 14 to 16-year-olds, attracting almost 500,000 entries from 144 different countries every year. The program between Years 7-10 provides a great moment of learning, discovery, and joy for every student.

St. Mark's curriculum ensures that each student develops skills and knowledge in all the learning areas and helps students to begin identifying where their interests and strengths lie. St. Mark's carefully plans and designs our curriculum to ensure that students will receive a strong education foundation and possess a competitive edge to meet any educational challenges. We are committed to providing quality education and with this commitment, many of our students have achieved stellar results with their IGCSE examinations each year.

Upper Secondary (Year 11 – Year 12)

In partnership with the Western Australian Government, our Australian Matriculation Program (Australian High School Curriculum) is designed to make a difference in students’ lives. We do this by providing students access to a high-quality, relevant, and internationally recognised curriculum. Students will receive both the Australian Matriculation Certificate of Education, as well as the ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admission Rank) upon completing Year 12.

This program spans one and a half years, offering our graduating students the advantage of starting university one year ahead of their counterparts in other schools. These certificates provide direct pathways to enrollment in all Australian universities, as well as universities in the United Kingdom, the EU, United States, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, China, India, and Thailand.
