Asian Science Mathematics Olympiad 2020

Congratulations to our Year 7 student, Nat, for winning the prestigious Gold Award at the recent Asian Science and Mathematics Olympiad (ASMO) 2020.

The President of ASMO, Mr. Allen Chan, awarded hardworking Nat with a Gold medal for achieving top scores in Mathematics at Secondary 1 level.

The Asian Science and Mathematics Olympiad (ASMO) is a competition platform designed to challenge and evaluate students’ knowledge in Mathematics and Science at their specific grades. The questions in the Olympiad stretch their knowledge and understanding of a range of mathematical concepts. Our syllabus fits snuggly alongside the ASMO syllabus as it concentrates on non-routine problem-solving in order to prepare the students for the competition.  With the expansion of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education worldwide the ASMO platform provides a useful tool so that our students continue to be well prepared with the skills to meet the science and technology challenges of the future.

ASMO represents a prestigious venue for Science and Mathematics competition among fellow ASEAN students. Every year, the number of ASMO participants from across the 10 ASEAN countries reaches the tens of thousands mark, and winners from this competition are recognised worldwide for their exceptional capabilities.
